Bramalea Partners

Investing in exceptional expansion-stage software & consumer technology companies

Our Portfolio Companies

Our Strategy

The Bramalea “Sweet Spot”

  • The “Middle” - We invest between early-stage venture and late stage growth (expansion-phase growth equity)

  • Product-Market Fit - We invest in companies that have $5 million or more in recurring or re-occurring revenue diversified across many customers

  • Go-to-Market Strategy - We invest in companies that have demonstrated capital discipline and are on a path to cash flow generation

Our Sourcing Network

  • Entrepreneurs - Many of the successful entrepreneurs that we have backed over the past 15 years have become an important source of deal flow

  • Early-Stage Investors - We collaborate with early stage investors that understand the need for new investors with a different skill-set for the next phase of growth for their portfolio companies

  • Financial Intermediaries - Investment banks, brokers, and advisory shops have played an important role in developing our investment pipeline

Focus Investment Areas

  • Technology - We focus on enterprise software and tech-enabled services businesses providing simple solutions to entrenched business problems

  • Consumer - We focus on marketplaces and consumer subscription businesses delivered through proven technology platforms

  • Geography - We focus on management teams that are located in and primarily sell their products to companies that are located in the US and Canada

Post Investment Value-Add

  • Growth Equity Mindset to Earlier Stage Companies - We help founders optimize their business mix in preparation for the late stage private and public markets

  • Corporate Business Development - We extend our network of C-level business executives that help our companies navigate to decision-makers

  • Flexible Engagement Model - We tailor our deal structure and post-investment engagement model to the idiosyncratic needs of each company

All employees are expected to take initiative and be accountable for the firm’s excellence in investing and serving investors and portfolio companies. Purposefully built as a small organization, Bramalea Partners cannot afford to have partners and employees that are not willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.

As a responsible steward of capital, Bramalea Partners will always prioritize investor returns when considering investments and business decisions alike. Bramalea Partners will always be transparent and candid about both failures and successes. When things do not go as planned, we will analyze and learn from mistakes while always striving for continuous improvement.

No one at Bramalea Partners is too proud to ask for help or guidance from other employees, investors, or experts in the field when it comes to running a business or understanding a company. Bramalea Partners takes pride in having a reputation for being “low-ego venture capitalists”
